Washington, D.C. – Donald Trump has officially taken the oath of office as the 47th president of the United States in a ceremony held inside the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol. The event, which is traditionally conducted on the West Lawn of the Capitol, was moved indoors due to extremely cold weather. Vice President JD Vance was also sworn in during the ceremony.

In his inaugural address, President Trump outlined his visionary agenda for the next four years, vowing to expand executive authority, implement mass deportations, seek retribution against his political opponents, and reshape America’s role on the global stage.

Immediately following his speech, President Trump signed approximately 80 executive orders aimed at overturning policies implemented by the previous Biden administration. “We will take immediate action to revoke nearly 80 destructive and radical executive decisions of the previous administration,” he declared before proceeding to sign the orders.

The inauguration celebrations began on Sunday, with Trump’s family members and key allies attending a series of events across the capital. On the eve of the inauguration, the President-elect hosted a lively campaign-style rally at Capitol One Arena in downtown Washington. Addressing a crowd of enthusiastic supporters, Trump promised to take swift and decisive action to end what he called “American decline.”

Earlier in the day, Trump participated in a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery, honoring the nation’s fallen heroes.

The inauguration marks a historic return to power for the 78-year-old Republican, who has pledged to act with “unprecedented speed” to implement his policy agenda from day one, and to make America great again (MAGA).
