Graham Sees Divine Role in Trump’s White House Return After Assassination Attempt
Evangelist Franklin Graham expressed his belief that God saved Donald Trump from an assassination attempt to allow him to reclaim the White House. Hours after Trump hinted at possible divine intervention during his Election Night speech, Graham shared his perspective on Piers Morgan Uncensored Published on crosswalk.com, affirming his belief in God’s role in Trump’s survival and ultimate victory.
In his victory speech, Trump reflected on the possibility of divine protection, saying, “Many people have told me that God spared my life for a reason, and that reason was to save our country and restore America to greatness. We’re going to fulfill that mission together.”
Graham, who leads Samaritan’s Purse and the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, recalled the incident in Pennsylvania where an attempted assassin’s bullet narrowly missed Trump’s brain. “I believe God turned his head at that precise moment to save his life,” Graham said. “There’s no other explanation. And when another assassin attempted an attack on the golf course, they were able to thwart it. I believe it was God—no question.”
The attempt on Trump’s life occurred about four months before the election, when a gunman targeted him from a rooftop at a rally in Pennsylvania. As the bullet neared, Trump tilted his head slightly, resulting in a graze to his ear instead of a direct hit. Graham called this survival a “miraculous” event and a testament to divine purpose.
Reflecting on the election outcome, Graham described Trump’s victory as a “win for freedom, freedom of speech, the American farmer, the oil and gas industry, and common sense.” He highlighted Trump’s significance to the pro-life movement, stating, “I think about the millions of children who will be saved in the coming years because of Donald Trump.” Graham concluded by emphasizing his belief that God preserved Trump “for a very special job: to turn this nation around and bring it back to God.”
Congratulations President Elect @realDonaldTrump and @JDVance on a history making campaign and victory. Our prayers are with you as you lead our nation. I pray you will act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God. Micah 6:8 If you do this, He will bless you abundantly!— Billy Wilson (@WilsonBilly) November 6, 2024
