PPP delegation visits Nauman Masih; a Christian boy set on fire in Lahore

On the direction of Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari a delegation of the Pakistan Peoples Party Punjab Social media led by Ms. Jahanara M Wattoo, head S Media Punjab has visited Mayo Hospital, Lahore, today to convey the best wishes of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari and central Punjab president Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, for Nauman Masih; a 15-year-old boy who was set on fire in Lahore, Pakistan on Friday allegedly in a shocking incident of religious intolerance in the Punjab.

Ms. Jahanara M Wattoo presented bouquets to Nauman Masih and his parents on behalf of the Party top leadership and prayed for his early recovery.

The PPP delegation included, Coordinator S Media Punjab Junaid Qaiser, Deputy Coordinator S Media Lahore Division Rahila Zareen, Noreen Saleem, Napoleon Qayyum, Deputy Coordinator Lahore City Muhammad Usman Awan and Giffson Sabir.

Ms. Jahanara M Wattoo strongly condemned the incident of religious extremism and expressed solidarity with the aggrieved family and prayed for the early recovery of the boy. She maintained that the PPP is standing with its Christian brethren in their hour of difficulty.

Talking to media after inquiring about health of the injured, Jahanara M Wattoo said that the religious minorities in Punjab was victim of religious extremism because of the anti-minorities policies of the PMLN. She said that the PPP was always with their Christian brethrens in the time of grief and sorrow. She has demanded the Punjab government to take immediate action against those responsible for this dastardly incident.
