COLUMBUS, Ohio — In a powerful display of faith and community, thousands of college students gathered at Ohio State University on Tuesday night for a revival event organized by the Unite US movement. Despite sub-freezing temperatures that dipped into the teens, nearly 2,000 students made the life-changing decision to give their hearts to God.
This event marked the second major revival of 2025, following a similar outreach at the University of Kentucky just a week prior, where over 2,000 students also committed their lives to Jesus Christ. The revival at Ohio State took place in The Schottenstein Center, where approximately 6,500 students came together to worship and seek hope in the gospel.
Participants braved the cold to publicly declare their faith, with many choosing to be baptized in the backs of U-Haul trucks set up outside the venue. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and reverence as students walked to the altars, eager to experience the transformative power of faith.
“We’ve been in awe of how God has already been moving on this campus over the past year, and He met us here again tonight,” Unite US shared in a social media post. “Almost 2,000 responded to the altar call, experiencing the freedom only He can bring.”
Tonya Prewett, the founder and visionary behind Unite US, expressed her amazement at the turnout and the impact of the event. “What a night at The Ohio State University! Close to 2,000 students made a decision to go all in with Jesus! I am in awe of how God is moving on college campuses!” she posted on Instagram.
The revival at Ohio State follows a growing trend of spiritual awakenings on college campuses across the United States, with Unite US events reaching over 70,000 students since September 2023. The next outreach is scheduled for Purdue University in Indiana on March 5, promising to continue the momentum of faith and community engagement.
As students left The Schottenstein Center, many expressed a renewed sense of purpose and hope, reflecting the profound impact of the evening. “God is moving in this generation, and we know that He’s just getting started!” Unite US declared, highlighting the ongoing spiritual revival among young people in America.
