WASHINGTON — U.S. Senators Tim Scott (R-S.C.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) have introduced a resolution designating October 6-12, 2024, as “Religious Education Week.” The resolution aims to celebrate and highlight the significance of religious education and the contributions of schools and organizations dedicated to religious instruction.
“Religious education plays an important role for countless families across the country,” stated Senator Scott. “This resolution reaffirms their choice and underscores our commitment to ensuring religious schools can flourish alongside their secular counterparts. Families should have the freedom to choose how their children are educated, and religious schools provide a vital avenue for that.”
